I decided that after weeks and weeks of having to clean my cage out three times a week that Woodlakes was not a viable option for a substrate
So I went into Pets At Home yesterday and got the back to nature letter which is designed for small animals with respect tree problems
Respire tree
Breathing problems
Stupid Apple dictation
This morning I came in to my living room and I realised there was something missing and it took me a few seconds to realise that it was the smell of guinea pig we that wasn't there so so far so good
I can find it cheaper on Amazon because Pets At Home didn't have the 30 L bags in stock they only had the 10 so I got three of those because I knew that attain wouldn't be big enough to cover my floor
We were not very happy about the substrate change however as it probably felt strange under their feet
They do seem quite calmer this morning and happier so I think it just took them overnight to adjust
I have used carer fresh in the past and have been better really disappointed
So I thought I would give that back to nature a go because I have nothing to lose
What are other peoples thoughts on this as a substrate?

Back to nature is a nice substrate, but expensive to use as a whole cage substrate. I have used it for litter trays in the past but prefer Fitch as it's a lot cheaper and lasts a lot longer. If it helps, Biocatolet the cat little is basically the same thing but slightly cheaper.

We use back2nature, sometimes you can get good deals on amazon if you buy 2 or 3 of the 30kg as a "package"

However, we are thinking about changing because it is quite expensive

Are used to use Biocatolette when I had a pet rats and I never had a problem with it I didn't realise it back to nature was basically the same stuff

I cleaned their cage out this afternoon because I wanted to not because I had to because usually after four days with Woodlakes I would've had to have cleaned out regardless of what I wanted to because I couldn't stand the smell of Wii anymore
Usually it would've taken me at least an hour to clean everything but today it only took me 25 minutes and that was everything from Imperial substrate out disinfecting and then putting fresh substrate back in
I will be using the Bio-catolet

Since buying a large bag as I was all out of bedding and couldn't get what I wanted. I found it very heavy to use in hutches and dispose of and the pigs weren't overly fond either so I've been using it in the litter trays on the bottom with mountains of hay on top. It's quite odd and as people say above, it's expensive.

I tried back to nature as my neighbours daughter uses it and couldn't praise it highly enough. I didn't like it as it was very expensive and when it got wet it all separated and was difficult to sweep up. The piggies didn't think much of it either!
