I know, I know. But baby wipes are a near-necessity for me - they'll clean up e-juice spills, drip tips, and do a bunch of other really useful things only a wet wipe can. But unlike standard cleaning wipes there's no residue I worry about being left on my vapes when I'm the one who has to inhale on them. Not that I'm anti-chemicals, just that if I didn't want to wash my hands with it, why would I want to inhale it?

But not all baby wipes are equal. The only ones I've found that work every time are Huggies Extra Care Pure, in the white wrap. But Huggies wipes in general are the best ones because they're not like a cloth, and they separate much more easily with one hand. Nor do I end up pulling 20 of them out of the pack at once, which is useful. And I can't always find the Huggies at Asda or Tesco.

So. Are there other brands out there more like thick tissue wipes than cloths? I could really use the fallback option because I go through that many of them.

I always use waterwipes, they're like 99.9% water with a tiny bit of fruit juice. They're the only ones I've ever used so I'm not sure how they would compare to what you're currently using but I personally like them for what I use them for.. usually wiping piggies bums 🤣

Haha yeah, right enough. You don't happen to know if they catch on anything easily? Because that's my other problem with the cloth-type ones, they'll catch on practically everything I need to wipe down. Not so bad on the desk, but definitely an issue on some parts of the tank lol.

I've also got a stash of Waterwipes, which I swear by - I think I have a free sample of some Pampers ones round here as well. Let me know if there are any specific tests you'd like to be performed

How about reusable wipes? Much more effective than disposables. For really good grippy cleaning I would recommend a pack of Muslinz wipes. You can chose to just use water, or add a couple of drops of essential oil, or there's a company called Poppets that do wipe solutions (dissolve one in hot water) that will make them smell ultra nice.

It's mostly convenience. Smelling good or bad isn't the issue, having something on hand to quickly wipe up a spill (that stuff is stickier than than jam) is. With reusable wipes, would I need to keep them damp til needed or could I grab one in a hurry and just use it?

I use any unscented water based wipes for Priscilla.
Not sure if the wipes I use for cleaning a mucky piggy bum are helpful for your needs though.

Depends what the mess is, if it's liquid you could use a dry one though you would probably still want a wet one to prevent any stickiness. I tend to have mine in a wet bag in the cupboard and store them dry and then just wet when I need one. However, pre potty training I did tend to wet them and store in old takeaway tubs so they were ready to go. If you boil water first they won't start to smell damp even if left a little while

The bags I use have two zip compartments so dry ones are stored in the front zip and then used ones go in the back until they are ready for washing

That might be worth doing. Even though it's liquid it's generally too sticky to wipe with a dry cloth, the stuff that can be wiped with a dry cloth is generally kind of small-space stuff, and that I usually go for cotton buds with. I do occasionally try it with a wet wipe...and then end up wrapping the wipe around the cotton bud and doing it that way lol. But I also go through far fewer boxes of cotton buds than wipes, and the buds at least are plastic free.
