I have been out the house for a few hours to come home and find to babies on my doorstep they are tiny, sadly one has died, he was sooo thin! The other which is like a teddy x rex very fluffy and white like a sheep seems well in himdelf although again very thin, I have booked in a vets this pm but other than offer food and drink is there anything I can do? xx

Thats so sad. Is he eating? If not I would syringe some food into him, critical care or mashed pellets. Good luck! x

Agree with the above - also syringe water hourly so there is no dehydration and give half a chewable vitmain c tablet for a week or so until he builds in strength.

Been to the vets and he is in perfect health he is nearly 5 weeks on estimate, he hasn't eaten so the vet has supplied me with a syringe, fingers crossed xx

Babies are not meant to be syringe fed. Maryh once said to use the back of a tea spoon handle. Have a look on some past threads as i cannot remember all the ideas people came up with. Hope they are ok. :)

yes i remember reading on another thread to use the back of a teaspoon piggies can choke if you use a syringe

That's right young babes shouldn't be syringe fed how old is he do you think? Hope he is ok. x

At 5 weeks old if the vet is correct he will not be needing mothers milk, usually boars can be taken away as young as 3wks to stop mating occuring within the litter and mother. Good luck with him.

Yes i think at 5weeks syringing is ok, its just the tiny babies when first born that you have to use a teaspoon, i'd imagine so anyway! Poor little fella, good luck with him xx

It's so sad! Eccles was the smallest I have had he was 3 weeks old and so tiny didn't look right him being away from mum but he was from a vets. Makes you wonder how people can do that. 98)

must have been from someone who knew you had piggies O0 RIP sweet darling that didn't make it, run free and popcorn in the clouds and find love and happiness 0:) 0:) 0:) hoping the other little mite makes it O0 at least he now has you to give him love and care and lots of cuddles :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: at least he will know what love is O0 hugs and healing vibes for the little mite :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: RIP to his brother/friend find eternal happiness and peace 0:) 0:) 0:)

I have an idea of where they came from, but everyone knows me here and knows about my rescue so I'm not suprised they were left but If I'm right when thinking who I think it is that left them then I'm uset that they couldn't just asked me for help, I still would of taken them in and maybe the other little baby wouldn't of died!
Well anyway I have been straight down to visit Pepper this morning and he seems ok, some food gone from his bowl (I have given him moist food) and all the cucumber has gone so looking good so far!

that is great news, hoping pepper continues to improve O0 once settled hoping for some pictures O0 hugs to pepper and for you for taken them in :smitten: :smitten:

he is so adorable :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: was his friend the same? 0:) 0:) 0:) what a sweet cute face, how could someone dump him and his friend? it just sickens me :o :o :o so glad he has found you O0 hugs to you and pepper :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

His brother was the same texture but all dark with more patches, little Pepper is our little celeb at the moment he has captured so many hearts, he is a lovely piggy and I am pleased he was left with me all though in horrible circumstances, I guess every cloud... xx

So pleased that whoever left them had just enough sense to leave them on your step! O0
0:) you are the guinea pig angel 0:)

No I'm no angel just do my best! A little update to say Pepper sems 100% fine, he has settled and calmed nicey and eats and drinks really well, he has gained good weight and we are really pleased with how he has come along. :)

Very glad that he's now safe with you, but its such a shame that people are capable of just dumping animals on doorsteps.. It makes me so angry. My two piggies were found in a box on the side of the motorway! It really is terrible what some people put their pets through.

he is so so so so so gorgeous. I want to come and steal him. I am a sucker for a rex or teddy (i have 4) . Oh i am glad he is with you. xx
