I was just wondering do baby pigs go through a stage of pining when they are finally separated from parents and siblings? My new sow keeps wheeking so so loudly and was wondering if this will pass.

I suppose they would pine, but are you sure she isnt in pain? The wheek loudly when in pain. You should really take her to the vets for a quick check up.
Or she could be lonely if she lives on her own?

my babies did when they got seperated from mum, but dixie the mother was fine..although she was going back to live with 4 of her friends, maybe if your sow is alone shes feeling lonely without her babies?

I did wonder whether she was in pain but is pooing, weeing and eating fine and is full of beeans. She is on her own at the moment as she is in quarantine. She only started to do it once I put her cage in the same room as the other pigs so possibly it is loneliness induced.
