Hello, my 1 month old guinea pig was dropped from around an inch higher then my ankle (I'm around 5'5) and when he was dropped his little mouth was open and he fell silent. I picked him up and kept him in his blanket wrapped to see if he was okay and if he was breathing. My boyfriend advised me to put him on a flat surface and when i did i noticed there was blood on his blanket. I rubbed a corner of the blanket around his mouth to see if the blood was coming from there and it was. He's acting normally now and the blood was only a few spots not that much. He's eating and moving around normally, but i still need to know if he'll be okay or if i need to worry more then i already am.

also i promise I'm not a bad guinea mom i was cleaning his cage and had to move him out, the fall happened when i was putting him back in. I was no match for his squirming little body and i feel so bad:/. so anyone pls help!

Hello and welcome to the forum. I’d keep a very close eye on him for a couple of days. If you notice anything then please take them to the vets. Is he moving about ok? Have you checked his mouth area and teeth? Accidents happen unfortunately. We just have to learn from them.

Hi and welcome

Have a look at his incisors to see whether they are broken or wobbly. If they are firm and he is eating normally/his weight remains stable, then just keep him under observation; if you have a wobbly (i.e. broken) incisor or weight issues, then please see a vet as soon as you can get an appopintment after they re-open after Easter.
