Baby Blankets

I went to B&M today to get some wood shavings for my rabbits and food for my dog. On my way to the tills I walked past the baby section and I noticed loads of blankets.

Would they be suitable for a piggie cage?
I always use fleece blankets from primark. These blankets are thicker and fluffier. They are 100% polyester. Here's a picture:

Has anyone used baby blankets or thick, fluffy fleece blankets in their cage?
Are they easy to clean? (Does hay get stuck to them, are they easy to sweep up, how do they wash?)

I would love to buy some for my piggies because they feel so comfy! They look really nice too. They are also quite cheap, some of them were £2.99 and some were £5! I would need 2 for my cage :)
 
When I first made the change from woodshavings to fleece I made the mistake of buying this type of fleece. The pee just didn't go though it and just sat on the top.
I thought it.would be great cause it's so fluffy but it didn't work the piggies were just sitting in puddles of pee.
The only type I use now is polar/anti pil fleece. I use 2 layers so it's a bit bouncy and cosy for them :nod:

Aw that's a shame, it looks like it would be comfy.
I use normal fleece with loads of towels under it, I haven't thought of using 2 layers of fleece! :)

I use towels under it too but I felt it was a bit too hard so I've been using 2 layers of normal fleece and it's amazing, the pee goes straight though and onto the towel so it's not wet for them plus it's a bit more comfy :love:

Maybe I will try doing that :)
