Wombles 3 girl babies are living together and now they're weaned I have taken Womble out as she'd had enough of them. Over the last week they've been having scuffles and cross words.. starts with a squeaking noise, heads held high, then they chase around... one of them had blood on her lips when she came back in from the run at the weekend.

Now one of them (Perkin) has taken to sleeping on top of the hay-house to get away from the others. But I'm not sure who is starting the trouble.

Should I take her out and see if the other two are ok? Or should I try putting an adult sow in with them to be a chaperone? No-one has really got hurt yet but it is constant squabbling and I feel sorry for the girl sleeping on the roof!

I would watch them closely to see who is starting it. I think you're right that the one hiding away is innocent in it all, so it's probably one of the other girls. I usually find putting an older girl with the difficult younger sow works as the younger sow doesn't normally dare play her up ;D

Older sow chaperone sounds a good idea, when we have split mum from litters before the baby girls always pushed the boundaries trini ended up with a split lip from neo, bullseye and nancy both had ctross words while winnie hid in the corner, sounds like growin pains or a fight over the liip stick, if Mum is rested enough then re-introduce her but if she needs some more time off an auntie sow is a great idea. good luck O0

It sounds like they are sorting the dominance/peeking order out with you removing Mam. They are little monkeys but someone needs to be top pig and someone is always picked on. My group of 5 Fred is the dominant sow and Lowri is the bottom sow, she gets a nip every now and again just to remind her, but never nothing serious. Make sure there are many hiding places to give them on their own time and good luck.
BTW I do agree with Vikki an aunty or grandma could chill things out.
