Azythromicin dose accidentally given too early

I accidentally gave our guinea pig Lilly her Azythromicin dose (.25 ml) at an interval of 12 hours apart. She's supposed to get it every 24 hours and I forgot that she already had it last night. (Usually our vet prescribes for twice per day). I can call the vet as soon as they open, but that's not for another hour. I'm worried. Do you think Lilly will be ok?
 
As it's an antibiotic it should be fine.
Obviously speak to your vet, but an extra dose of antibiotic isn't normally an issue - it's things like pain relief that can cause problems.

That is a relief to hear. Thank you so much! I'm on hold with the vet now. Hope to get info from them shortly.

The vet just told me that Lilly will probably be fine, but to keep an eye out for diarrhea because it might cause stomach upset. Thanks again for the help!

She should be fine. I did exactly the same thing with the same drug just a couple of weeks ago - early morning auto pilot meant I gave him the zithromax as well as his metacam! He was absolutely fine. So I switched to giving it him am instead of pm
