Hi All,

Well at the weekend I am putting the animals on one of the above. It's getting too warm for them to be on fleece in the barn and I can't keep putting it through the washing machine in an old duvet!

So which is better? Take into account the cost, and how long it lasts too? I have 8 cages and 3 hutches to do! :)

Thanks!

Louise

started useing aubiose about 5-6 weeks ago, was useing wood shavings, nearly finished my first bale i can't fault it no dust, no smells as i use it indoors, does not get stuck in fur of my longhaired piggies and doesn't get stuck in there bits either i have mostly boars, easy to clean out i recycle on clean outs just removing damp patches which make it last longer for me, i have 4 large indoor cages. it is a bit pricey i pay £9.50 a bale but the benefits out way the cost for me! can be a bit bulky to store as it is a large bale.
its a big thumbs up for me! 5 stars

i used to use carefresh but it was awy too pricey, i use aubioise at the moment, and its lastnig forever! i find you need to change it more though but still good for its value

Never used megazorb so unsure on that!

Bonnie where you get Easybed from? how much is it and how big are bags?

I get it from my local farm/warehouse which sell EVERYTHING possible for every animal! (Titmuss Pet Food Supplies)
A 25kg Bale cost me £7.50 - Bargain! It's totally dust free and is quite heavy so doesnt blow about (My piggies are outside).
I can't fault it and with 6 hutches, a bale lasts me about a month.

I am using Megazorb from Hammonds. Never used the other one, so can't vote. Much better in controlling smell, than newspaper and hay. It's a beggar to get out out fleecy beds, and blows about in the wind in the hutches outside. Overall though I like Megazorb and will carry on using it. (ps. Lou. I got the last bag from Hammonds last week before I came over to yours, so may be worth checking) xx

Thanks guys! Jane good point! I'm going tomorrow I do like Megazorb just not sure it will last me the whole month so think I will try Easibed!

Talk about being back to front haha never gave Easibed a thought! :) I know Hammonds' have this.

Let me know what you think then, you can be my official tester. :(|)

Haha will do! I do like Megazorb but once I get to the bottom I always end up with a layer of the stuff on my nose! :(|)

Is Easibed like Carefresh? I do love Carefresh but its so expensive!

I now use Megazorb instead of woodshavings. Obviously more expensive, but I find it much easier to handle and I think it is nicer to look at.

However, I have never used Aubiose so unfortunately I can't participate in the poll. I might try it though as my supplier has both and I can drive there to get it.

I use megazorb and love the stuff. The place i get it from had ran out last week and i had to try something new and its really made me appriciate megazorb. It obsorbs so well, smells ok and is not dusty (apart from the last bit) and it makes the cage look so cosy lol. x
