Hi đź‘‹

Just a few questions. Has anyone used the Asda or Wilko nuggets I’ve had a look at some of the info that u all put up but I don’t really know ignoring I should use them. At the moment using the pets at home ones. Any recommendations?

They are still running away from me will this ever change?

They wee and poop. So much sometimes the bottom is soaking after 12 hours. How often do you change fleece? Did you train them to wee in the same place? Really need advice on this.

Here is the cage and shed at the moment. They are free to roam all day and night. 120 x 100 floor space plus two floors

I have a friend who uses the wilko ones, they go crazy for them. As far as I know they aren't the best for some nutritional components but as for the Piggies... They love them ❤️

My two love Asda nuggets, all of my previous nine piggies used to enjoy them, and my rabbits were forever invading the pigs hutch to nick their food.

What do you have under your fleece? Is it a proper cage liner? Shouldn't really be that wet after 12 hrs...🤔

As for litter training I have never had any success. They wee and poo everywhere. I have puppy pads under my fleece. The fleece stays dry and the pads soak up the wee.
Do they eat the puppy pads mine are the craziest two for chewing they even chewed the camera!

@artcasper cage liner? What is this? what do you you use?

My fleece cage liners are made up of fleece, absorbant middle then fleece... have a look on here for the dedicated section on fleece cage liners ....

They have a decent sized cage so I really wouldn't expect the liners to be soaking after 12 hours.
What is the absorbent layer in the liners?
And do they have a fleece or waterproof bottom layer?
How are you washing them?

Sorry for all the questions but maybe if we know more we can help.

oh yes i have proper fleece liners made from a lady on ebay @artcasper thought you meant something else under
Some of the ebay cage liners arent as absorbent as they might be, so we use the Vet Fleece brand Inconti-Pet washable puppy mats underneath them in high traffic areas and it helps a lot. Fleece liners usually get more absorbent over time too, after a few hot washes at 60 degrees they soak up and wick away the wee much better!

It shouldn’t be soaking after 12 hours. When they wee, does it pool on the top - as in it’s not absorbed by the fleece?
