As you might know Burdock is alone now...

My Barney got put to sleep this morning. Still hurting too much to say much about it.

But I'm just worried about Burdock, he is alone now and i dont want him to get upset/depressed/bored etc now he is alone.

What can i do to make sure his life is as happy as it was while Barney was in it?

so sorry you lost barney he will be running free at the bridge now looking down on you

you could get burdock a mate what age is he?perhaps pair with a baby boar so e can father him

you can take burdock to rescue centres and let him pick his own new friend x

nope he will never be too old to find a friend! they can be very fussy but never too old

I would definitely recommend getting a friend and so so sorry about the one you lost.

I would head to a rescue and see if they can match you a friend for Burdock.

Just to let you know,Button our 3.5 year old sow lost her partner Treacle 6 weeks ago, she failed to bond with our other lonely sow in fact she fought with her big time!and after failing to find a suitable or available rescue young sow, I located a lady whose daughter had a litter which they were keeping but a friend told of my plight and yesterday I brought home Snowball.I went over and chose her as a hopeful put them in the run together and immediately they bonded.Button has perked up no end!I'm sure you can have the same luck, when you feel ready see if any rescues have piggies looking for homes, take your piggie with you and they will choose each other.

sorry for your loss...

last year, i rescued a 5 year-old boar called Steven. Unfortunately, being 41 weeks pregnant at the time, I couldn't keep him to myself, so reluctantly I handed him over to Nutmeg with whom he will now be living forever. She paired him up with a little pup called Smudge and they are living very happily together!
