So I have two piggies inside.

I currently use sawdust in their cage. I'm wondering if that's the best thing for them tho.

I've looked at fleece but I lined their run with fleece and they pull it up.

Could I line the cage with artificial grass or what would be best?

I think I read someone was using artificial grass with puppy pads underneath, is that ok?
I know I can change the puppy pads everyday and hoover out poops but how does everyone clean the wee off the grass?

So many questions! Sorry!

Thank you to anyone that can help me.

If you're using something that doesn't allow the wee to wick through it then you're probably best using a bedding that you can spot clean, like woodshavings covered in hay, or paper type bedding.

I disagree - artificial grass is not good for guinea pigs

Fake Grass?

:agr:

I think artificial grass could work well if you want to cover a large outdoor area, but inside and in cages it would be a nightmare to clean.
Like I said in a previous post I have used it for my rabbits outdoor cage and it works well, but with the piggies it will get wet and dirty very quickly, and unless you can reliably hose it off outside (and then get it dry) on a regular basis I think it would be a smelly mess in no time.

I would worry that fake grass may be a little bit spiky and not very soft for the piggies' feet or tummies. Maybe outside in a large run would be fine, but I'm not sure it would be suitable to line a cage.
