ark guinea pig rescue

Not sure where to post this. i’m having to surrender my guises pigs due to many complications. my cat turns out to be severely allergic to my guises pigs and myself is allergic to them. means i can’t give the care i would like to and make cause severe issue for cat.

i’m surrendering them to ark guineapig rescue. anyone have any experiences with this rescue? they seem very nice and like they really care about the guinea pigs there.

very upsetting news but it’s the best decision for the piggies and the rest of us.

I’m sorry you’ve had to make that decision. I’m not sure what they’re like though the name rings a bell. All the best.

PS are you sure you’re cat is allergic to them. It seems odd given they’re outside and said cat lives indoors...

The only thing I would suggest while looking at this rescue is if your guinea pigs are a bonded pair then stipulate that they are adopted as a pair and not slit up. Sorry for the situation you are in.

I am sure you did your research and they will be fine.
The one thing I would question is what their rehoming criteria are - cage size, indoor/outdoor etc?
They don't mention this on their website so that would help give you more of a picture of the types of homes they consider.
