So...just wondered what advice you guys would give
I got gizmo a new friend 2 days ago,as I had to seperate him from peanut because peanut was bullying him.
I think they are ok together but....
Gizmo is doing the macho rumblestrutting thing which I expected anyway he has been doing it on and off since the introduction.
I have caught him a few times chasing him in circles squeaking at him and he also keeps laying down in front of him and yawning,I presume showing his teeth.
There has been no aggression at all from either pig and baby seems to just shrug him off and carry on doing what he was doing, mainly eating lol
He did seem a bit stressed after gizmo had been chasing him in circles but that hasn't happened again since.
Is all this normal? How long will it go on for and at what point should I be worried they aren't going to get on?

Yes it's normal, and can continue for up to two weeks after bonding. Just make sure you ALWAYS respect their hierarchy and handle or feed the dominant piggy first. Character compatibility will be the deciding factor. If newbie is submitting then it should hopefully be okay. How old is he and how old is Gizmo?

BTW did you post this last night?

The baby is 6 weeks old and gizmo is approx 11 maybe 12 months not sure as I got him and peanut together as the previous owner didn't want them anymore.
He said they were about 4-5 months old then in August I think.
Baby is submissive and is squeaking at gizmo ,they seem a bit better today.
Baby doesn't seem phased at all by gizmos rumbling he just runs off and goes in his bed.
But its bed cleaning day so things may get spikey when the new bedding goes in lol(I use noodle mats)

It will settle down eventually. Just be prepared that when the baby comes into his teenage months that he may try and change things up. For now you can just enjoy their interaction.

Also, try and have hides with two exits. And maybe one hide which only baby can fit in. How big is their cage?

:agr: with everything @Siikibam has said. Bonding goes way beyond the initial introduction stage and carries on for a few weeks after. I’m not seeing anything alarming in what you have said and it all sounds to be progressing positively.

If possible, leave some bedding in so as to not cause gizmo to need to go overboard with the territory marking and dominance.

Gizmo is not really the dominant type he's quite a chilled guy,he's obviously showing baby he's bigger than him but there is no aggression at all.
I just hope zoomie takes a leaf out of gizmos book and grows up chilled like him lol.
One thing he does keep doing is pushing his head under zoomies chin and lifting his head up.is this normal?
Yeah can't wait for the teenage months lol, they will be in their bigger shed by then so more space.
The cage is 24" x 50" so approx 60cm x 127cm I am adding another level in the next few days so should help.
I had to improvise and use my puppy pen as their temporary home when I seperated gizmo and peanut.
Also with peanut being the aggressor do you think I would be better keeping him on his own or could it be possible to find him a new friend?

Cage is a Little on the small side for boars, remembering that upper levels do not make a cage bigger, they are only a bonus space. That said, it will give them somewhere else for time out if they want it. I get it though, with them having a new shed in spring, you won’t want to buy new cages now etc, but if you can add some grids to the front of the cage to give them more floor space, then that would help.

It is completely possible to find peanut a friend, it’s about character compatibility, so it will take you some time to find the right one for him, but I absolutely would not say he is destined to be alone.
