People keep telling me that these poops look fine, but I'm not so sure. I agree that they look okay, but they are soft enough for them to break when stood on by our two 6-month-old girls. And there is an odor when broken in half, though this is not as strong over the last few days. The consistency is definitely not smeary, they're mostly a bit like play-doh really? Though they do easily snap in half if you apply a bit of pressure. They're fed a diet of mostly timothy hay, partly pepper (green and red) and a few nuggets.

Do I need to worry? These poops are coming from one of our girls, Lola, the other, Maggie is doing much firmer poops. I've tried giving them Pro-C Probiotic in their water over the last 4 days, and since then, they are guzzling down the water like there is no tomorrow, but it hasn't firmed up the poops at all.

I feel so lost and just want to be sure she is okay, I will take her to the vet if needed, but if it can be avoided, I would like to, there is only so much money to go around!

They look fine to me.

Please don’t add anything in their drinking water.
If they ever need a probiotic, it’s best to give it to them directly. If you add anything to their water, it changes the taste, promotes algae growth and you cannot control how much probiotic they are actually getting

A healthy diet is plenty of hay, a variety of leafy vegetables, one tablespoon of pellets.

Hi

They look and behave normal for me, too.

Soft poos you can really squish and they can get as lose as 'cow pads' that still retain some texture.
Runny diarrhea is when the output no longer has texture or any hint of form. In the later case, please see a vet promptly.

Depending what you are feeding, it can make the poos smellier. If you are really worried about it, then just take your piggies off any fresh food for a day and allow the gut microbiome to settle down. Keeping in mind that 75-80% of the daily food intake is hay/grass fibre, which is what they have evolved on and what they need more to stay healthy and live a longer life. Ca. 50g veg and fresh herbs (1 really small bowl per piggy per day) and pellets (1 tablespoon per piggy day) only replace the supplementary role of wild forage for the nutrients that are not or not in great amounts in grass. The more hay they eat, the better.

I agree on adding probiotics to the water since the individual water intake varies massively and can change again with additives.
