I have 6 piggies and for the last 2 years I've been ill and unable to work, most days I was housebound. My boys got lots of attention, I was always in the piggy room watching t.v and talking to them. But I am better now and often am not home during the day, or if I am I'm usually busy. I'm worried that they might be missing me, they didn't get a lot of handling to be honest as most of them have been rescued from difficult backgrounds and preferred to be left alone or stroked in the cage. They all get a few hours a day in a good sized pen, are fed well and cared for. I often leave the telly on for them :)) But I do worry about them, do piggies care about stuff like this? Or is it ok as long as they have a cage buddy and are warm and fed? As I said they weren't handled a lot anyhow, but I was always in the room with them before. What are people's thoughts about this?

My boys get varying amount of attention from day to day, as long as you keep them clean, well fed and they have excercise and friends then they will be happy :)

I'm sure they're ok :)

As long as they are eating / drinking / maintaining weight / active & interested in things / warm & comfortable then I think piggies are generally ok. I'm sure they enjoy the time they spend with you but noboby could expect you to be with them all day every day. Ours are quite happy to see us when we're in & seem to manage fine when we're out. As long as they get their hay & veggies they don't seem too worried...
