Ok I am terrible at changing my plans and ideas so bear with me. This is what happens when I have nothing to do for the day.

I looked on some sites for materials to build my hutch and see how much I was expected to pay. Needless to say I could buy a brand new ready made hutch without my dodgy handy work for the same amount rolleyes

So I Googled around looked on Ebay etc and found Happy Hutch. I remember hearing they are pretty good and quite a bargain for what you get. Soo I had a nosey on here for pictures and thought they looked pretty good. Found a 5ft one that would be £80 ish. Much cheaper then me hunting around for wood to build with.

So are they any good? And should I go with the 5ft x 18in x 18in or the 5ft x 2ft x 2ft?

i'd go with the 5x2x2 :)

in the past when i ordered a happy hutch hutch and run it was delivered and there were no problems. when i asked for a custom made one it turned into a total nightmare and i found them exceptionally rude and awkward. horrible people. it seems it was me and a few others who apparantly must have caught them on a bad day as i've seen things written about how nice they are! :o

anyway, the hutches are good but the best quality hutch and run i ever bought was from ryedale pet hutches. a bit more expensive but worth it for the quality. (just a tip if you do go with them though, state you want the floor space as 5x2 otherwise it ends up smaller than you expect because the wood is so thick. they also put 'beams' on the roof which i found lowered the overall height aswell)

I posted pics of my new Happy Hutch and attached run here about a week ago: http://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=91328

I went for a large 6x2x2 and I'm generally very happy with it. Did have a problem when it was delivered as there was damage to the roof, but the company sent me out a replacement without any fuss.

The main structure is proper shiplap timber with only the base and interior wall being plywood.

At just under £150 including the 6x3 run,, it was an absolute bargain and no other company offered an equivalent for anywhere near as good a price.

Thanks :) Yeah I looked at your pictures and it looked quite nice, a lot similar to my Rabbit Hutch Shop one that I got for my bunnies. I already have a run for him, just need a better hutch lol

I am hoping to sell his old run and hutch and that should help pay towards it.

How much do you think this would go for? Excuse Rosie, this was taken as I was painting her new hutch :)
I will tart it up a little and give it some paint. What would you think I could sell it for? It is about 4 ft long
