Are guinea pigs effected by lights at night?

So when I sleep I keep my fairy lights on to a low orange color and it's been a habit I can't seem to break cause I can't fall asleep without them on. But it just came to my realization that it might affect my piggies? Should I try to start shutting them off at night or does it not matter to their health?

I don’t think a low orange colour would affect them at all - it’d be bright white lights
I’d carry on especially if they help you to get to sleep

Not like we are. When I had Comet and Blitzen I'd leave the hallway light on (and the bedroom door ajar) in my flat overnight, mostly so I could see what I was doing if I had to go to the toilet. They never had an issue with it.

I think they are fine as long as they've got a dark hidey that they can retreat to. They sleep during the day as much as they do at night, so while they don't like bright lights, they're clearly able to sleep without it being completely dark.
