Does anyone actually own a 6ft by 4ft run? Not one they've adapted or made themselves, but one they've actually purchased?
An enclosed one too - I've seen some people's open topped ones on here...

As a condition of us being able to adopt our 2 girls they had to have a minimum 4ft x 2ft hutch/cage which was no problem, and a minimum 6ft by 4ft run for the garden.
NO pet shops sold runs over 4ft and any online shops wanted around £120 which, although I want the best for my animals, always, I just do not have that money left after buying a cage and toys and bedding and shampoo and decent food etc etc so I bought one from Ebay after some searching for £68 which I thought a bargain!
I have had consistent trouble with the seller in actually getting this item dispatched, and meanwhile our girls are still at rescue waiting and we're having to content ourselves with visits. Their cage is all ready for them, I've stocked up on everything, there's a bale of hay in my airing cupboard - it's very frustrating!

So yes, I decided to kind of cancel the ebay one and find another but can't see one ANYWHERE for less than £90... can anyone help?
It's been 2 weeks since we reserved the girls, thinking the guy was dispatching that day, and they won't keep them for us forever...

:...

I have to say none of my runs are 6' x 4', the biggest is 5' in length and it's pretty big...

It would be cheaper to buy the stuff and get someone handy to knock it up for you?

There's one on zooplus.co.uk for £60 but it's out of stock for a few weeks or so. It's enclosed and people on here say it's good. I was going to get it but it's out of stock :(

It's much, MUCH cheaper to make one yourself, and you get to pick the dimensions too. My neighbour helped to make mine, he does carpentry in his spare time. It's over six foot and has a lift-off lid. Maybe one of your neighbours or someone in your family could help?

I'd also back up the route of if you know a person handy with DIY or theres a local carpenter or tradesperson who you could get to do it, the better. My dad made my run for me (although i really desperately need a new one) which was 6ft by 2ft with a built in box/hutch and a plastic lid should there be sudden unexpected rain when they were out. It cost him a fraction to build of what a new store bought one would. You could even offer to buy materials and source them nice and cheap and pay them for their time.

Thank you

Thank you all for your suggestions - have book marked the sites for future reference :)

The run has arrived! Yay! Just when I'd said I'd cancel the order... hehe!

Mine is 7ft by 3ft and bought online. It's made by Trixie and it is great :) there's also a seller on ebay who sells 6ftx4ft runs - her name is Susan and I have bought from her in the past and would recommend.

I had to get a 6x4ft run as well in order to adopt from Wood Green. Luckily (very luckily!) they sold me a second hand one they had for £30.

Nice to know of other places to buy runs from though, I'll have to invest in the future.
