Just need a little reminder on the correct temperatures for piggies. Toby & Barney are in the lounge, the temperature during the day is about 19degrees and during the night it is a minimum of 16degrees (heating clicks on below these temperatures). Is the night time temperature warm enough or should I put a heatpad in?

My boys are in a 15-16 degree temperature day and night, they seem fine but I do have self heating pads for them as well as cuddle cups and a few random fleeces. My room has no heating but a electric fire and oil filled radiator, can't have them on constantly, not had problems yet, think ypurs should be fine xx

That is fine. You can add microwaveable snugglesafe pads for freezing nights. Guinea pigs are perfectly fine in the smae range of temperatures as humans.
Furless piggies need higher temperatures.

I always think my pigs are too warm! lol! They live in the room with the birds so I had the room at 25 Celsius. I put it down to 23 but that was too cold for one of my finches but we seem to have settled on 24 lol :)

Oooo - nice and tropical! Lol! Funny how we spoil our animals - no way would we put our thermostat up that high for ourselves but if the critters need it it is a different matter!

Very true! We keep our house at 16 degrees lol! Not so fantastic when it's -28 outside :) Thick wooly socks come out!

I had a plumber laughing at me for spoiling the piggies by just having them indoors for winter! I nearly told him about the snugglesafe heatpads and oil filled radiator I've bought them, just to see if it would tip him over the edge ha ha! Thanks for this thread, v helpful.
