Hiya everyone. I have had a read of the special diet thread on here but need some more advice. My girl had a bladder stone removed last week, had calcium carbonate crystals and high PH. I need some more advice on what to feed. I know the basic no no’s like spinach kale broccoli carrots etc. We are boiling our water and then filtering it like the vet said and she isn’t on any pellets atm. Our vet actually told us to feed pellets as long as they’re low calcium however I’ve read on here not to do that. So we stopped them last week when the problems started. As we found when she ate them they made her worse. I just need some advice on the veggies to feed and what not to feed. I really appreciate it thank you 💙

I’ve been told that carrots are high in calcium and not good to feed and then today read in an article they were good to feed. I am so confused and just need to know the best veggies to help her x

Carrots are very high in sugar so aren’t good for them, they aren’t needed in the diet. All root veg is recommended to be cut out for certain bladder issues.
The four daily veg - pepper, cucumber, lettuce, coriander - are all absolutely fine to bed fed. Cucumber and lettuce particularly good as they are watery so help keep the bladder flushing through
