Hi, I was wondering what your thoughts are on using a cushioned nylon/ripstop (like tent material) as a Base and only using shavings on their bedding area? It can be washed etc but I wasn't sure if it might be too rough on my pigs feet, would it cause any damage?
Anyone used nylon/ripstop as a base?

I’m not sure about the material, but I know shavings aren’t always the best choice of bedding as they can cause breathing issues.

it doesn’t sound like the best idea in terms of maintaining etc. Have you thought about fleece?
