Oh no I have just got megazorb after reading countless reviews on sites recommending it :-( mind you after 2 weeks of using it I have decided I find it dusty, smelly and generally worse for absorbing urine :-( so wont be using it again, just ordered some auboise, what is Fitch?

I wouldn't throw it away, I've used Megazorb for about 18 months without problem. I put a layer of hay on top because they didn't seem to like walking on it. You can get a good bale of hay from lots of farms in this area for about £4. I found no real problems with dust or smell & I only changed because I found out it was supposedly not suitable for small animals but what is the definition of a small animal? Do they mean Gerbils, Hamsters & Mice or are Guinea Pigs & Rabbits too. I've been using a White Paper (Teabag offcut) Bedding which I get from Lawson Animal Feeds at Ferryhill. It's £7.50 a bag on line or £6.75 if you collect. The website is www.lawsonpetfeeds.co.uk This was recommended to me at Bunny Burrows Rescue in Richmond (North Yorks) where I help out once a fortnight.

It's OK but I don't rate it as good as Megazorb but is safe. I've just got my first bag of Fitch, a little tip, get it direct from their website because they sell it for more on Ebay & Amazon. (see http://www.fitchrecycling.co.uk/animal-bedding/fitch-pet-bedding.html) it's really compressed in the bag but goes a long way once you rub & separate it. I bought a 94 litre plastic box to store it in but I've only managed to get about a 1/3 of a bag into it. I'll be doing my first change on Sunday & think that this will be better than the White Paper Bedding. There's also another product which I haven't tried yet but sounds like Megazorb without the dust. I only heard of this after my bag of Fitch arrived so may trial that next, it's called MaxiBed. See http://www.recyclingresources.co.uk/maxibed
