Anyone seen this before?

Very sorry you're piggy has passed.

What are we supposed to be looking at?
 I think @Elaine the Guinea pig slave meant her gpig passed a possible 'fat' sperm rod?
Do you have a picture of the offending rod/item?

I'm afraid I can't help with boar'ly problems as I've only ever had girls.

Is this thread any help?
There's a picture of a sperm rod here.. Post #3

Wow that’s one big sperm rod :yikes: he’ll feel much happier now x

Thank you - he squealed when he passed it (I think we all would have to be fair!), is there anything you can suggest?

I would check your boy's bits very regularly; some very messy boys can do with a weekly one while for others a monthly check is adequate. Teenage boys are the most hormonal ones so sperm rods/boar glue (both dried semen fluid) are most common with them although they can happen well into adulthood, as can the odd hormone spike.
There is not much you can do about it but check the penis shaft regularly for anything that should not be in there, be it a sperm rod or a build-up of smegma can dry up and be like a hard shell around the penis in some cases.

Here is our boar care guide, which you may find helpful to use in connection with the life-long weekly weigh-in and body health check, which are your most important health monitoring tools.

Thank you so much for the advice and links. They get handled daily and I can tell from picking up if they have lost or gained, although they do get frequently put on the kitchen scales too.

Make sure that you check their bits once weekly and feel gently around the penis shaft base for any hard bits and clear off any smegma as needed. I hope that he won't have another sperm rod; getting that one out must have been ever so painful!

PS: Would you give us permission to include the picture in our boar care guide, credited to your username? It is a very good and useful picture with the size comparison.

Hi, no need to credit me more than welcome to use the picture

Great advice you’ve had above!

These boars! One of my boys currently has had a small bald spot on his nose as a result of boar glue 🤦🏻‍♀️

His patch is almost fully grown back now, but these boys will be boys!

This was Christian's maHOOsive Sperm Road when he was suffering badly from arthritis of his spine so couldn't clear it. It came up in a few hours and must have been so painful and he must have been so relieved to be rid of.

HUGE Sperm Rod.webp
