Since my new boys are going to be staying with my son for a couple of weeks later in this year, I thought it would be an idea to buy a cage, which they can move into once their quarantine period is over, with a C&C run attached. That way when they go to his house, at least they will be in a cage they are used to. (Can't take the C&C as he has dogs. Although they won't be allowed in the room, I still want that extra reassurance).
I've looked on Zooplus at the Skyline Maxi XXL and the Plaza 140. I think the 140 might be a bit big for someone else's house, so I've come down on the side of the Skyline Maxi. Does anyone have one? What are the pros and cons? Any other suggestions or advice?

Thanks @sport_billy . I hadn't considered the Ferplast 120, but a few people have mentioned it in those posts, although there seems to be a bit of dispute as to which is the better of the two. I've a week or so before I have to order, so I'll keep looking at the pros and cons of each there's only £5 difference just now and the Ferplast comes with more accessories, so much of a muchness. The Maxi seems to be taller, and can take a loft area, but I don't think my two new boys would be interested in a loft, they're not nearly so energetic as the terrible trio.

I have a Ferplast 120 for my two boars. I've had it for 6 years, so it's done pretty well! It has a shelf which acts like a mezzanine level rather than a loft, with a stepped 'wall' which you can leave on as an extra 'hidey' or take off. All my pigs except current elderly gent Zebedee would jump up there if they wanted something that was there, and it's low enough for them to stretch up to if they are too lazy to jump!
Someone else on one of the threads sport_billy linked mentioned difficulty cleaning because of the raised grid pattern, which is the same on the Skyline, but if it is only for occasional use and gets cleaned out thoroughly after use, that shouldn't be a problem.

I am thinking about making it a permanent part of a larger set up, with a C&C run, so that sounds ideal. These two new boys do seem a good bit older than I was told. I use fleece, so I could put a bit of plastic table cloth on the floor, which should save any cleaning issues. I think the Ferplast is looking good now. It seems to be more sturdy. Thanks very much for sharing your experience with it, it's really helped. @Qualcast&Flymo
