I know many (like me) have pig sheds and I have seen free range piggies in a bike shed on google, but has anyone insulated a bike store and put a hutch in it?
I am doing this as I just want to have a mini shed with room for storing their bits and bobs and the size means I can get it beside the house for easy electric hook up for heating for night time when the doors are all closed.
I have currently got to the stage where the walls are polystyrene lined with silver bubble wrap foil insulation over this, with just the floor to insulate and board over.
I have also got the big vents in a couple of places to help with air circulation too.
I plan to have one door open all day to bring in fresh air while the other door will remain closed over the bedroom door area. I will probably fit an internal aviary style door too to keep the cat out.
But what about when it rains during the day and its a cold day? Should I make windows with perspex in the door to bring in light? or just use a plastic cover over the hutch doors?
Any tips and advice welcome! considering this is Piggie Shed Mark III I had best get it right this time!
