I'm currently redoing the guinea pig room (redecorating and reorganising) so thought it was a good time to put all the guinea pigs into C&C cages. I am planning to buy new correx for the current C&C cage, and also buy some for the new one I'm making, but I can't find a supplier that will post the correx flat. Ideally I need 2 sheets of 2.4m x 1.2m 4mm correx, but I'm bothered that if it's sent rolled it won't last as long and will be a faff to score for the piggy cages.

I wasn't sure whether anyone had any ideas of where I could buy this from, or if anyone had bought correx that was posted flat before?

Only thing I can suggest is to try a local sign writers and see if they will sell you some. I got mine from a sign writers and luckily it fitted into my father in laws car. (We cut it to size before we left the signwriters) good luck and hope you find a solution.

I had mine delivered rolled and it was perfectly fine, I did un-roll it as soon as it arrived but it didn't take too long to flatten out. I found it was easy enough to score etc and can't see that it's going to last any differently than if it hadn't been rolled.

thanks. As I was worried about buying it rolled too so bought it flat which worked out dearer. So next time I will buy it rolled. :tu:

Thank you! The place where I bought correx from before now only supplies it in 2mm thickness, whereas I had 4mm before. I shall look for another local signmaker as if possible I'd prefer to have 4mm correx. I didn't think of scoring/cutting it to size it whilst there (silly me!), that would save a little bit of space in the car, thanks for that! Hoping to find somewhere local to buy it, but if not I'll have to explore other options.

That's interesting to know, thank you. I was bothered that if it was delivered rolled up it wouldn't score to shape as well, or last as long, but it's good to know that you didn't have any problem with that. Maybe I'm just worrying about it too much - all this worry for the sake of the piggies! They're 100% worth the stress and worry though!

I bought on ebay... £38 for three 4mm 8ft x 4ft and the seller sent them to me flat... £38/3= about £13 each (lots of people said the reasonable price for 8ft x 4ft 4mm ones should be around £12 each I remembered?) therefore I think it's acceptable...

@SkullyChubby
Thank you! I agree, I don't think that seems too bad in terms of price, fairly reasonable I'd say, especially at 4mm. I'd have to see whether they did 2 sheets of 8ft by 4ft as that's all I'd need.
