I was wanting one of the above for the rabbits, but wanted to see some photos with animals actually in them as the photos on the P@H website are a bit deceiving. So any photos would be appreciated!

Thanks!

I have the poppy den hutch. It isnt as big as it looks. I had one rabbit in it for a short amount of time and then i changed because it was to small. Although my rabbit is a bit of a chunk. :)

I have 2poppy dens I have only had them 4 months and they are already starting to break . I would not recommend them . Mine are not even out doors

I have a Poppy Den, we bought it for my friend's rabbit to stay in as he comes to visit every summer.

Don't think I have any photos with him in it though, as he spends as much time as possible out of it - we keep it on the patio, so we just open the door and put a barrier across our steps to the rest of the garden and he is free range as long as someone is out there.

Not sure I would keep a bunny in it for long periods of time as Frankie is quite a big boy and does look a bit grumpy if in it for too long. Also the divider thing is useless for rabbits as the hole is TINY, we took it out as otherwise Frankie would have got stuck!

I had the original guinea pig den 5 years ago and it is still going strong, but the build quality has really gone downhill so my newer Poppy Den definitely doesn't look as good!

The Dandelion one is definitely better quality but I don't think it's as big in terms of height and I wouldn't want bunny not to be able to 'stand up' properly.

Have you had a look online? Or your local garden centre may have some good hutches - one of mine came from there and it is brilliant, so easy to put together and really sturdy.

I have a Dandelion Den and it is a good hutch. It's good quality wood and I find that it is plenty big enough for Spike, one of my piggies. The main drawback is that he chewed it within a couple of weeks to the point that it will need some mods soon. The pull out floor is removable and plastic lined so is really quick and easy to clean.

I personally didn't think the P@H photo of the hutch was too deceiving - the main thing it didn't show was that the floor is moulded so you lose about an inch on each side. This isn't a problem but isn't reflected in the stated dimensions. I also didn't use the divider supplied as I preferred to keep the interior open - Spike can have a clear run from one side to the other, which he thinks is great fun!

I don't have any pics of Spike in the hutch, but he seems happy with it. He's a bit camera shy and runs away every time I go near the hutch with anything other than food! I'll try and get a quick snap but can't promise.

I think the OP wants it for a rabbit Jane. Agree the hutch is def big enough for a piggy or two though.

Oh I should be clear, its just a base for the rabbits! Just for their litter tray and food bowl :) They have a 9ft x 12ft shed, so its just for them to have a sleep in and their breakfast, the door would never be shut. I just wanted to see if rabbits could stand up in it really.

I agree, both of them are far too small for a rabbit to live in permanently.

I agree with you. Too small for a bunny.

I did look online, but so many places either won't deliver to me (I'm in the Highlands) or charge extortinate prices for delivery!

If it's just for a base for the tray and food bowl, and will be kept in a shed, the Poppy den will do you fine. Frankie can stand fully upright in it and still have room :) that's basically how we have him in it, he is in it overnight and while everyone is at work but is out by 4.55pm (when I get in) and generally hops back in when it finally gets dark (he comes to stay in August and I have great broadband range so do my working from home in the garden with him!)
