Hi all-
So I am currently using paper and aspen bedding for my piggies' cage with absorbent dog pads underneath. The only problem is that they toilet EVERYWHERE, to the point where it leaks through the bedding! The idea of using fleece just doesn't appeal to me, even though I heard that it is better. It just seems a bit harder because you can't clean up the wee by scooping the shavings out, you actually have to WASH the fleece. I just like to be able to scoop it up and throw it away.
I spot clean at least once a day, but it is hard to know where they wee because you can't tell from the bedding I use. I want to be able to continue to use the shavings and dog pads, but I don't know what to do if this keeps happening! I would hate to have to clean it every few days, because I would go through bedding a lot quicker! Though it just seems that spot cleaning isn't enough. What should I do? If you use shavings and can give me some tips, please tell me! Thanks
