My guineas live inside any ideas on an indoor run for them? We have a dog so the yard is his, so would love ideas on how to do a run indoors, also pictures would be fab if you have any :)

Where would you get the grid cage blocks? Shush don't tell hubby but when we convert the dinning room into a gym i'm going to put the guineas in there with a run so they can have run time whenever they want and i can use the gym in the evenings ( they are used to noise etc with 2 kiddies) x

Try searching Amazon for Seville storage cubes or c&c grids.

Are you looking at the moment for something you can fold down and store flat?

Quite a few seem to have good things to say about the fabric pop up runs which are available on amazon or zoo plus.

The fabric runs look ace. I would worry about them eventually getting stained or smelling over time even with washing :)

no it will be a permanent run so they can either be in there cage or run whenever they want to.

i just use c+c grids and cable tie them together, then clip the ends to the cage. it's up permanently but can be quickly folded down if needed (house inspection :)))

I think i will prob go with that idea, like you said great to put down when having inspections lol

That is fab, I'm going to see what i can do with some chicken wire we have :)

I love mine but they are useless with the dogs now, plus although nothing really sticks as it were, but they do develop a smell over time. Washing them can be a bit challenging with their twangy nature :)

Still would recommend if you don't have dogs indoors. Mine are in and out all the time, love them but they also love the guinea pigs!

I have two dogs :) My piggies are outside most of the year with their grass run. When they come in for winter they have the run of the room upstairs :)

do you dogs bother them in run outside? One of my dogs is obsessed with them and just sits there watching them. makes it very difficult for the piggies.

we have a dog and the guineas are in the front room so have a gate across the door so he cant get to them. I will do the same when i build them a run and pop them in the spare room so he cant get to them but means they will have across to the run 24/7 :)

The dogs would watch them like TV all day if I let them, but when the pigs are out in the run the dogs are NEVER away from my side and out of my sight. They've got used to the piggies being out now.

Yeah, he doesn't do anything apart from whine and the piggies are used to him now, they run around a tiny bit whether he is there or not. And eat grass constantly! I think oddly he is more upset by them being there. Abbie will come up to him and sniff him and he is beside himself with excitement! He really doesn't know what to do with himself.

It is weird cos the other dog ignores them completely.

I think all round it will be better once they are in the shed.
