Hi, I currently have 2 boars(4 months old) and recently I’ve noticed that when I give them food, once they start eating sometimes they will cough. Iv seen lots of people say that when guinea pigs cough it can be a red flag but when googling this it said sometimes it can occur when they eat too fast. I just wanted to seek some advice to make sure do you think it could be due to eating too fast or do you think there could be a problem. When they eat sometimes I hear them cough quite a few times?

It certainly can be if they eat too fast. If they only do it when eating the chances are that it is related to that rather than a health issue. However
If you are worried then you should see a vet as we can’t know if there is a problem

Hi, if they are only coughing when they eat, it’s likely they are just eating too fast. If you notice them coughing at any other time on a regular basis, then a vet check wouldn’t go amiss x
