Hi all,

Oreo is 8 years old and her pea eye is getting very bad. She’s too old for laser surgery or any surgery in general. Any advice on how to soothe it a bit? It must be so uncomfortable 😕 vet just gave us a lubricant for the eye a few months back but now it’s getting larger and her eye is almost shut.

Thanks

Hi!

Please have that seen by your vet again. There could be an infection.

this is Tiggy after treatment. Picture was taken the next day.
(although their eyes weren't affected as badly as your little lady's appears to be) Both girls are back to normal now with no problems.

I'd definitely ring the vets today & ask to email photos in, hopefully they'll heal quickly :)
Oh edit... An appointment today is perfect :D xx

The longer eyes are left untreated, the more chance of complications occurring :(
Ask the vet if you can have some Loxicom (painkiller/anti inflammatory) too, as I expect it's painful.

Let us know how you get on. Good luck xx
