My daughter and I are relatively new to this,We have recently moved our boys outdoors but have found several ants daily in the hutch, I have been removing all fresh food after 30 mins but this doesn't seem to have made a difference. The hutch is on legs.Do the ants bother them?what else might be attracting them? Is it the hay Or the smell of the wee and poo? My dtr and I do a full clean twice a week and am now also doing a daily poo pick?
They are currently on newspaper, paper nuggets, some wood shavings and hay.
We would love any advice.

what do you use to clean? something like a 50/50 white vinegar/water solution might be good to use. also, if you put bowls of water under each of the legs, this means the ants can't climb apparently.

if the piggies can't access the legs then maybe wipe around the base of the legs with something like white vinegar. they also don't like baking soda (this is how we stop them coming in our kitchen!) but not sure if baking soda would be much use if it rained!

Ok thanks will try that, didn't want to try an outdoor poison pod I case ants took it into the cage
