What do I do? I have only seen 2 ants, but I'm sure they live in big groups.

How do I get rid of them?

How much harm can they do to my piggies?

I hate ants, and all spider type creatures. Am highly tempted never to set foot in my shed again, but it seems silly to buy a new shed because of a few ants.

My piggies are ok with bugs but I hate them! Ants go inbetween to run bars when its hot and i found a earwig in their bowl the other day. But they dont seem to mind:)

YUCK! I find earwigs in their bowls sometimes and it freaks me out but they don't care too much- they avoid the bowl though... maybe try and get ant- repellent that's safe for guinea pigs?

or if they are on the grass (the ants) just plain simple boiling water, I am talking about if you have a ants nest.. I don't really bother if i get a few ants, they don't bother the piggies but if I had a nest of them in their run i wouldn't want all them in there as ants do bite, and a piggy walking over/around their nest isnt going to make the ants happy.

The ants nest doesn't seem to be in their shed. I have checked behind the wee hutch and the hay bale, but can't check behind the big 4ft by 2 hutch until my o/h comes back - he's away for a few days with work. My piggies like to hide underneath it, so I think its safe enough.

There is a large ants nest at the bottom opposite corner of the garden - maybe 15 metres away, so I hope its just a few strays from there wandering in my shed. The occasional spider and earwig doesn't seem to bother them - although they absolutely freak me out.

So pleased there were no horrified "they are all going to die slow painful deaths" type replies in this thread :)) Very reassuring! I was getting a teeny bit worried that they were all going to die slow painful deaths caused by ants . . . . . . . sometimes I think I overthink these things . . . . .
