Hey,

I came across two creepy crawlies tonight whilst cleaning out the piggies bedding. It looked like two ants. I flushed them down the toilet so quick I wasn't going to check twice! :o

I hoping it was just two ants that came in on the grass we collected and fed them today. If I come across any more tomorrow all bedding will be dumped and cage disinfected.

Or could it be something else I should be worried about?
*Shudder*

yikes....i stopped putting my boys outside a year ago as i have a massive problem with ants in my pants ermmmm sorry grass

Might be an idea to check your garden in case you have a nest - I hate ants too, bleurgh.

Should you find a nest, boil the kettle and pour boiling water on it, kills them all off and better than using pesticides that could contaminate the grass for the guineas

It's not nice really, but nicer than using ant powder, that just suffocates them slowly like those spray fly killers :(

I agree! creepy crawlies should be banned! hate anything that crawls BF included!mallethead

Once a caterpillar got past me even when i checked the grass! He was making his way for freedom, off to the carrier bag of grass hoping that he could go back outside. :))

Just check the girls cage tomorrow and go from there. :)

I haven't spotted any more since, so hope it was just those rogue two. We've no grass in our back garden, the grass was picked at a local woods. I'll def be checking it twice from now on! Yuck!

Another ant found in the C&C this morning when my daughter was cleaning it out. :{ So all bedding dumped, cage disinfected etc before putting fresh stuff in. Hope that's the end of that!
