So after fighting for over a week to get my poor piggy some antibiotics for an upper respiratory infection she seems really quite uncomfortable today and I can’t help but think it’s related to the antibiotics. Her belly is clearly very tender as she cries when stroked - she is normally a more quiet shy piggy. Her poop is one long and very soft mass and she seems to quiver in one spot almost having contractions until she is done. She is eating tiny amounts but definitely drinking a lot. I have been syringe feeding her an organic baby fruit only mix with some soaked pellets to try and get some fibre and food into her but I am worried I’m doing the wrong thing for her. In my 10+ years of having piggies I have never had one with an upset belly.

Also is it better to keep up these antibiotics or stop them ?

Antibiotics can upset their tummies and cause soft poops. The antibiotics kill off the good gut bacteria as well as the illness causing bacteria. However it sounds as if it is more than that, so you should consult a vet straight away.
You should not stop the antibiotics unless a vet tells you to do so.

In the meantime, switch from the routine weekly weights and instead weigh her daily. It’s fine to add some baby food to the syringe feed but it must not be a large proportion of the feed - the fibre is the most important part.
