I have mentioned that Matilda pig is my bossy girl. This morning she was standing in the doorway eating her veggies and not letting Minnie by. I then saw her kick out at Minnie with her back legs, little monkey. So I tapped her on the nose and said no and moved the veggies away from the door. Minnie managed to get by and was eating, when Matilda walked behind her. Minnie lifted her back end and squirted wee at her @)

I have seen a sow do this to a boar before when being pestered but is is usual for a sow to do it to another one?

Well done, Minnie! I get these behaviours in my herd as well!

Sows squirting pee at another piggy (whether an obnoxious boar or another girl) means quite literally p*ss off; it can be very skillfully done to any piggy sticking its nose where it shouldn't! On the other hand, boars spray the sows they want to mate with with their testosterone laden pee to announce to any rival that they are "his". Pee fests are quite common in piggy society! mallethead:)>>>

Oh right, well I was quite proud of her but not sure if I should've been

The problem with my girls is, they were both forced together quite young. I was talking about his to my husband earlier as he got lumbered with putting them in their run, following a 'oh look its lovely and sunny sorry I am not at home would you put the girls in their run for me" text earlier.

He said they were almost impossible to catch. Problem is I had a a laid back boar that trained my girls. I lost him but he had already trained Meggie. When he died in October last year Meg had been with him for almost two years so she was calm, and she trained Matilda, who was 6 weeks when I had her. I thought they would have years to perfect it but I tragically lost Meg after 9 months so Matilda was still young when Minnie arrived aged 6 weeks, and sadly Minnie has dragged Matilda backwards. I desperately need a calming influence on this pair of reprobates, but Morph found them too intimidating so not sure what to do next.

My 3 pigs are always annoyed with each other and Lulu May is the boss pig. Her dauchter Walnut is sooo loud and whiney all the time. I love them immensley of course but wow they complain so much! And I have a neutered boy named Ping Lee with them. I don't if he is annoying them or what but the squealing and noise makes me think they hate each other sometimes!

Maybe, Lulu May is waiting for her dtr walnut to move out! lol. sigh... tonight they are being absoluately crazy!

All piggies have different personalities. If they are generally happy i woudnt worry too much. A boar can help settle things down if he can take on the role. My poor neutered boar certainly has done a fab job of trying to keep my rowdy sows in order, hes definatly the boss.

x.

Oh look, your avatar looks just like Morph did :(
