Animal Dreams Sawdust any reviews

Hello,

I'm looking to change my guinea pig bedding as our main pet shop have put the bedding prices up and the bags are getting smaller, after doing some reasearch and talking to a friend, i was wondering if anyone uses animal dreams sawdust, and what did you think of it, as i have read alot of reviews that says it was like dust.

Any help would be greatly recieved

Hi,

The fact it's dust is going to be a problem. I haven't used it, but I wouldn't recommend you use a dust bedding.

I know some places are selling it cheap but if your looking for a disposable bedding then I'd look at something else.


That's the thing with bedding, it's price over time over general preference.

Thank you so much for the advice, i just did not want to buy a big bag and find out that it was not suitable, but i think i will look at other products, it can be hard to know what the product are like unless you buy them, i have noticed in the last few year though that bedding has gone up in price so much, and it is just about looking for the best bedding for your pigs.

No problem,I know exactly what you mean.

I started on wood shavings, then I started to work out how much or how many cage changes I was getting and when I worked it out it wasn't economical. I tried fleeces but just found it too much.

If you have the space, it's cheaper to go for 20kgsbags of bedding. I wanted to try some other bedding but I couldn't get my current supplier to send me samples, so I just went for it. Luckily it worked for me.

If your looking for very economical bedding, I would go for fleece or vet bed because it's just about time for poop scooping and machine washing. It's just the initial outlay, fleece being cheaper obviously.

That is such a good idea about the 20kg bags of bedding, i know my local pet shop stocks them so i will get a big bag next time i'm in the shop. That will be much cheaper.
