Shamesfully, we have no grass here so I thought id make a dedicated piggie garden I could perminantly fence off from the doggies
So I had this rubbish bit of garden and some spare bits of wrought iron

I put turf down and cleared some more and made some terracing and attached c n c grids to the iron work

Added some substrate (hemp)

And then lastly, add pigs

I expected them to hide, but they ran about and popcorned. So I guess they liked it.
Just got to revamp an old 3ft hutch into a hidey house and we're done. Only taken 3 weekends! Lol

Wow that's fab! I wish we could do that in our garden. My boys aren't allowed on our lawn as it's full of poisonous weeds and dogs can get to it when we leave our driveway gates open. :(

Thank you! Its all a bit of an experiment but we'll see how it works. Theres not a lot of sunlight there so the grass may struggle but worth a try. All the fencing and bit were bits I already had so total cost was £10 for turf and £2 for yet another 100 cable ties. I ve also got a bit of mist net to go over the top if needed

Brilliant, even if the grass doesn't live you could pave it and it would still make a lovely exercise yard. I had a similar area where I lived once that was paved and I used to pick grass and dandelions and scatter them about to make my lazy old boars walk around a bit.

That's brilliant. Your piggies are very lucky to have their own dedicated section of the garden.

Love it, you've done a fantastic job. Lucky piggies, I realy like the colour you painted the hutch.

It looks lovely, looks like you've worked very hard, I love it and looks like the piggies do too :) it's amazing what you can do with bits you find laying around X

Ah I love it! Their own personal garden. So cute!

My girls had their first sat out on grass today (ever!). They spent 5 minutes being scared then realised they were on an edible carpet!

This is brilliant, very lucky piggies!

This is absolutely wonderful. If you keep the grass well watered, hopefully it should be ok - when people have an entire lawn re-turfed, very often there are sections in the shade, but it all seems to work alright. What is the white stuff? will it be alright if it's rained on?

It's aubiose, hemp horse bedding. So far it's ok the moisture passes through it
