Ambers behaviour last night?

i put them in the indoor run last night for a play
and all was ok apart from amber rumbling constantly, at some point OH said she looked like she was vibrating
and i think it was aimed for poppy
anyway i took poppy out for a cuddle and amber started wheeking for her straightaway, then poppy too.
i put poppy back and amber started rumbling again, then she was shuffling her bum on the floor, and looked like she sort of stood up on her back legs ?
and gave herself a shake
there was no fighting, apart from the occasional nip when i bonded them
i put them back in the cage and all is fine this morning
what do you think it was?

i've heard them rumble at eachother once or twice before, but nothing like what amber was like last night
 
The rumbling was quite normal if they are seeing who is boss, there will be some sorting out but they should settle down.
When amber stood up it is sign she is asserting her dominance as long as she does not bite or charge the other piggy and there is no fighting they should be ok just keep a close eye for now.
If Poppy accepts she is not the dominant guinea it should be ok. If they get very rumbly try putting in lotsof toys and distractions until they calm down.
If they are wheeking for each other it is very likely they like each other they were just having a bit of handbags!
How long have they been together?
 
so i am gathering handbags is another word for play fight 98) i wonder if amber was on heat last night? and she was telling poppy the fact, jessie does this all the time when she is on heat and now poor zoe has piggy panic attacks. hoping amber settles down and she and poppy stay friends O0 sending hugs and healing vibes :smitten: :smitten:

perhaps amber was on heat then?
theres been some rumbling going on as normal every now and again

vikki, they;ve been together a month, since ambers cage mate katie died :( :(
so perhaps shes letting poppy know whos boss ::) ;D
 
can some one tell me does a hand bag mean the piggies are having a tiff, disagreement? as for amber and poppy, they are most probably still getting use to eachother. maybe amber still misses katie :'( :'( :'( am so sorry for your lost of katieRIP sweet angel amongst the clouds 0:) 0:) 0:) perhaps wash them together and scrub out the cage to remove all scent and see if that helps O0 sending hugs to you and your girls :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Yeah "handbags" is when there is a fight that will never actually materialise in an actual fight - if you see what I mean?!?!? Just basically threatening but no (or not too much) physical action!
 
thank you black jack O0 who thought of this names for things? like handbag for play fight. popcorn for jumping around, binky if a bunny does it to name some. am getting so confused it's like all the terms in cricket, short leg, third man, silly point, fine leg to name some. just weird 98) 98) 98) thanks again O0
 
I think handbags is like 'handbags at dawn' - ie it's a joke name for a girly fight! ;D
