I weighed my pigs today the 2 biggest gained 60 grams each and the other 2 gained around 35-40 each. I give the recommended veg and pellets. they get 4 cups of veg for 4 pigs and half a cup of pellets for 4 pigs (1/8 each) I gave about 3/8's of pellets today. I feed the veg in the morning and pellets in the evening and they usually get grass in the middle of the day if the weather is good and unlimited water and hay. I feel like I'm giving the right amount. they have an 80 square feet shed for the four of them. their run for grass is small but they have a big enough cage anyway. thanks for any advice.

Sounds about right to me. Only thing I can think of is do they get a lot of sugary treats like pet store snacks or maybe a lot of carrot or fruit as these contain a fair amount of sugar. Or are they young piggies that are perhaps still growing? My boys stopped growing at about 7 months old.

they only get carrots and fruit once or twice a week and they haven't had any store bought treats yet I was gonna get some next week when I get them more toys and chews. they're 4-5 months old the bigger 2 are around 5 months but they're over 600 grams and girls. the only thing they get that may be high in sugar is kale and mangout but I limit those to a few times a week and kale they only get evert 2-3 weeks x

If they are gaining too much weigh maybe reduce the pellets to every other day. Well done for weighing them though xx

I think they're still growing to be honest so nothing to worry about :tu:
