I bought a c & c cage and my husband told me to return it. He's not convinced the coroplast will keep liquids contained, and frankly, I'm not either. Admittedly, I'm a bit peeved as well after opening the box and finding I spent $85 on a closet shelf and a cheap piece of plastic that I had to tape together. We like the idea of the cube part, but we don't trust the flimsy bottom. Does anyone know of an alternative to the c&c cages, other than the smaller, enclosed pet store cages? If we could find hard plastic trays like the pet store cages, that are large enough, we'd love to use that and just ditch the coroplast piece. There's got to be something better out there, but I can't find it! Thanks!

Home made or Midwest habitat. The Midwest habitat can be extended by buying more cages. There is a site on Google of homemade cages and Midwest habitats are not a bad price from Amazon.Good luck

My first coroplast cage leaked. My pigs were pushing the towels and fleece around and peed directly in the corner.

Once I figured a way to keep the fabric in place, it doesn't leak anymore.

If you put enough bedding in the cage, it won't leak.

Other than C&C cages, the only large cages are Midwest Habitat or home made.

Or you could order these from UK.

It works a lot better than you might think. A lot of people use it and I've never heard of any major leakage problems. It does have a bit of a shelf life and probably needs replacing occasionally but that's dependent on how often it gets moved about and how well protected it is. But it should last years if well looked after. I have lined mine with the plastic/oilcloth table cloth material which really helps keep the correx in good condition :)

Mine doesn't ever leak!

Edit To Add: I use water tight duct tape when making mine :)

I keep mine in a hutch (you can get one-storey or two-storey), mine's two-storey because they love the grass
Good luck finding a good cage/home area

There is a 1 metre square cage on the thread they are back ukulele n stock that looks quite good

Thanks, everyone! I had a "light bulb" moment and went to Target and picked up two 48 x 110 cm Sterilite under-the-bed storage containers and some additional cubes. It worked beautifully and now my males have a large space to chase each other, and my female has tons of room to raise the two daughters she gave birth to this morning! (Mom, dad, and babies are my avatar photo... the other male's not pictured.)
Sidenote: we're not intentional breeders... we thought she was a boy!
