So I decided not to clean today cuz it's a holiday.

But I'm going to a Bosnian restaurant and market.

Chez is acting a little off, he didn't come beg or get his lettuce, but he eats it if I hand feed it. His poop is normal, but he's just acting cautious and not zooming or begging. Stripe goes to the vet tomorrow, so if Chez doesn't improve, he'll go too.

Right now, Barrett is on my lap and I have some laundry in.

Going to check on Chez as soon as Barrett falls asleep.

There's a few corner shops open, the big places are all closed but some of the Muslim owned places will be open to least a few hours. No restaurants though, even if they wanted to open they'd be lucky to get anyone in.

I've said a brief hello to the neighbours with the baby, the house on the other side of mine has the family over and it's a good sized group so it's a little rowdy. I'll get dinner from them later but I'll eat it at home, too many people around for me.

Mourne's sent most of the day getting into the Christmas spirit. Bann is not impressed, lol. Poor Bann.

Yeah, Stripe is feeling good this morning but Chez is staying to the back of the cage. I had to put his lettuce back there and thankfully he's eating it. Not sure why he didn't come get it. I guess I have to weigh him and give him an extra health check. I'll observe for a while. He's not limping. But he didn't zoom when I spot cleaned.

I'm going to see if the Bosnian market has anything cool to get myself a Christmas gift.

So Chez is zooming and popcorning and begging and running under the fleece. So he is fine. Not sure what he was up to this morning.

I had a Bosnian breakfast. All the men there were drinking vodka at 10 am lol!
Sounds like the Bosnians know how to party! Glad Chez is ok.

I've been alone most of the day as well. I sing in a church choir and we sang this evening, at the Christmas 'Day' service. That was the high point of the day for me, very enjoyable and Christmassy and religious too, obviously. Tho I am also enjoying being here on the forum at the end of the day:love:

In Germany the celebrations start on Christmas Eve. For a few years now I've gone to a celebration for people who would otherwise be alone, which is always nicely done and enjoyable, with a good meal (tho obviously not Christmas dinner like in the UK), music, singing and chatting to people in a similar position. So then I don't mind being alone most of Christmas Day. In fact, today I was exhausted and didn't get out of bed till 1pm. I'll see what tomorrow brings, possibly also a long lie-in.

There were times though when being alone at Christmas was a lot harder for me, so I feel for those on forum for whom it is difficult or sad.

I’m glad people are finding their own way of being alone but in the way they want …so a good way
Too often people are coerced into being with people they don’t like and they feel very alone
Sounds like there was good food for you @Ramia ,@Lorcan and @Mrs Tiggy Winkle
Wishing you all a lovely Boxing Day 🥰
