My guinea pig cookie had some outside time and attention and when i put him back in his cage he started chewing his tube? he normally only does this when he is bored. For some reason he wont eat some hard veggies. He eats his hay though and is drinking fine.(don't know about pellets as we ran out)

It may have been his protest against being put back into his cage?

he stopped like 5 mins afterwards but he doesn't eat some of his favourite veggies like carrot or broccoli (which are like given as a treat he normally goes straight to them)

I know he recently had health issues, what is his current weight?

Single piggies are much more erratic in their eating behaviour and can be notorious for their changing tastes compared to piggies living with company of their kind where the "I want what you have" reflex is a very strong incentive.

PS: Guinea pigs coming off a course of antibiotics or an operation tend to prefer very rough fibre at first. This helps them to stabilise the guts. A hay filled toilet inners is what he would be very happy about in this case!
