Junior Guinea Pig
Hi everyone!
I know that compared to the everyone else here, my eye troubles with Cuddles must seem like nothing, but for Cuddles and I, it was serious. This was especially the case last week when the (very) expensive eye drops I'd previously used were unavailable in my city.
Unsure of what to do, I made a quick post here, and once again received support and some great advice. Because of this, I just wanted to let everyone know that Cuddles has recovered from her eye injury from a piece of hay. I used some human eye drops, and some lubricant eye drops. Visco tears specifically were recommended for me, but as I could not find them, I used a brand called Systane instead.
So thanks everyone, especially Wiebke. Things would be much worse for Cuddles today if not for your help.
Here's a picture of the healthy little piggy from today. Cuddles is on the right, nibbling on some watermelon with one of her cagemates Frolic, who's on the left. I know you can only see one eye here, but look at how shiny and clear and healthy it is!
Yaaay!
Side note - Does anyone else think that guinea pig eyes resemble Stitch's eyes, from the movie Lilo and Stitch?
