So, I feed my boars pets at home nuggets but I recently noticed it had alfalfa hay in it.
I need advice as I think some people say you shouldn’t feed alfalfa hay to adults and all except one of my piggies are 2 years old.
I don’t feed them much and only continue because the boys love the pellets so much. Should I stop feeding the pets at home nuggets and swap for a Timothy based pellet or is it okay to continue feeding them?
Thank you!

It would be best if you could swap to a Timothy based pellet.
However, any pellet contains a lot of calcium so always ensuring whichever brand you feed, are always limited to one tablespoon per pig per day

I would recommend switching to a timothy based pellet, alfalfa is too high in calcium for adult piggies and may cause bladder stones/sludge. My piggies get Science Selective Grain Free pellets atm which they love. ❤

I’ll check out science selective!
