When i got dexter my albino piggy the lady told me the reason he was looking for a new home was his first owner dident like his eyes and that not that many people like albinos.

Is there a lot of albinos looking for homes then?

And i did notic the other day when i was in pets at home a lot of the piggs were white seems the ones with colour go first.
 
I love them, my very first piggies were albinos with pink eyes! aka PEWs

I believe alot of people over-look PEWs, they're missing out!

There are no albinos as such in guinea pigs. Red eyed whites (REW) is a breed in itself and red eyes come in all shades of colour. The piggies in my tribe have different shades from bright pink to ruby to dark red and black.

But you are right the many people do prefer dark eyed guinea pigs to the red eyes.

I'm getting a PEW soon and I can't wait, LauraLucy on here is kindly letting me have her girl Cherry to live with my boy Dodge, I am very excited! My sister is not a guinea pig person but when she saw Cherry's photos she said 'wow she's so cute!'

My first ever guinea was a himilayan with pink eyes so there will always be a space for them in my heart.
 
I am a big fan of PEWS, my Snowy is such a big personality!
I don't know why i love them so much, i just think they are gorgeous and maybe its a bit because some people don't appreciate their beauty it makes me love them more! xoxo
 
PEWs, especially the bunnies, are very much in demand but for the wrong reasons in some places. My local P@H send back the PEWs and won't sell them for these reasons.
 
All my piggies have diferent coloured eyes... guy is the only one with pink eyes but Pippin has a green eye and a brown eye and Avril has a blue and a brown ? I'm not a fan of red eyes but guys suit him :)) x
 
My little Maddy is a PEW and I think Amelie has ruby coloured eyes. All of the others have dark eyes.
 
what are the wrong reasons for wanting a PEW?

(not entirely sure I want to know, . . . is it a food supply thing?) :...
 
I think they're beautiful, but you're right, some people don't like them at all.

I had a himalayan pig, with really pretty red eyes. x)

It's funny because white animals are always so popular . . . but not with red eyes rolleyes
 
i have 2 piggies with red eyes.Mac is a pew and i dont understand why people dont like them?why wont pah sell them?anyway pigs with red eyes are special and if my sister tells me one more time that Mac looks like a devil she will see MY devil impression :))
 
Our Ruby is a himmy with beautiful pink eyes shes gorgeous. I suppose everyone has their own prefrences but i love red/pink eyes:)
