I walk into the room and my two girl guinea pig (yes) were um... you know... having and good ol time doing it. Yes it.

Maybe some one determine the gender of both, Peaches is big and white, dark brown, and orange. Roscoe, small, black, white, an orange. They are both the small age

I will get pictures later (they are sleeping know) :)

Girls will mount each other when one is in season or as a show of dominance. It's very normal. If you want to post pics of their parts, we can give our best guess. There are pictures of both gender (I think on the pregnancy page) in a sticky at the top to give you something to compare to. You can also look at both of them, see how similar they are, and feel above the slit, where boys will have the ridge of a penis that can be felt under the skin. Don't panic yet- this is completely normal with same-sex pairs as well.

Hi!

Please always double-check the gender of your guinea pigs when you get them. Mis-sexing is sadly anything but uncommon.

Illustrated Sexing Guide

Mounting is in most cases mild dominance and not sexual behaviour. You will see often quite a lot of it during bonding, especially with boars; some will do some one-sided or mutual bonding on a daily basis.

Sows will mount others if they experience a strong season; they will only mate with a boar when they are actually ready to mate right at the end of it.

All these guides are part of our very helpful new owners information collection, which specifically addresses all the areas new owners ask the most questions or have the most issues with. It also contains guides that are specifically designed to help you learn what is normal and what not, whether that is behaviour, body or how to spot illness quickly when it is comparatively easy to deal with.

Please save up for vet care on a weekly basis as part of your regular maintenance cost, so you can see a vet whenever needed. Healthy and well cared guinea pigs live on average 5-7 years but most will need to see a vet during this time. Unlike large pets, you cannot wait for days to make up your mind because guinea pigs are prey animals that will hide illness to an amazing degree; so when they are ill, they are usually VERY ill. It is your or your legal guardian's responsibility that no pet in your care suffers or dies unnecessarily.

PS: We do answer every post on here, considering that we are a mainly UK based forum. You do not need to cry for help or attention.
But you will attract more people with the kind of experience you are looking for and have them answering sooner if you state your problem in the title.
