I have one male guinea pig. Whenever I put my hand on his fleece in front of him or anywhere else whe| he can see, he instantly attacks me (he attacks not bites) and tries to inform me to remove the hand by putting my finger inside his mouth but he doesn't bite. He gets veeeery annoyed whenever I touch inside his cage. Although when I pet him or give him a treat he always comes to normal as of nothing had happened. I can surely say he is a tamed guinea pig and his attacking is not because he is afraid of surroundings as I have him for 2 years and he has this behaviour from past one year (maybe just teenager things it may be).
What do you think the reason of his aggression?

The cage is his territory so he may just not like the feeling of you being inside it.

Does he live alone? They are social creatures and should be kept in pairs.
Yes sadly he is alone but I cannot manage to get other piggy as there are no available piggy's for adoptions and I don't want to buy one from a petstore, also the only guinea pig available is a female and I am not going to neuter my boar

Hi

Please consider getting him a same sex companion whenever there is another piggy around and before he loses the school weeks window in which babies are socialised by their elders. We will help with sexing before they meet if needed.

Use our piggy whispering tips to assure him that he is a welcome and treasured part of your own herd. Young guinea pigs are desperate to belong. By telling him what he needs to know in his own language and social frame, you are making instant sense to him.

Deep instinctive bites are in defence while tweaking is expressing displeasure and/or dominance.
