Max is being very aggresive towards Sammy, I am guessing its a adolesent thing, Max is 5 months now Sammy is 16 months, I am trying to get them out as much as poss to give them space. Should I have them out seperate or together and will this pass.
I had the same trouble with Elvis and Bart when they were young and had to seperate them because Elvis bit Bart about three times quite badly, I don't want to do the same with these.

Try and keep them together as much as possible unless there are bad fights. If there are bites, you will need to separate permanently.

It is a developmental thing - boar go through a hormonal "macho" phase. Make sure that you have everything in twos and you a doing absolutley the right thing by giving them as much space as possible.

They have two houses which they have claimed one each, and two bowls for dried although they still argue over the one, so I will just watch them, they are asleep now so all is quite.

The cambridge cavy trust recommend the use of dog appeasing pheromones to get boars through this adolescent phase but this only work for indoor piggies as you need a plug in?

Have you made sure that there cage is big enough for them, that they have two of everything?

The indoor cage is the ferplast 120, but I am picking up my 6ft hutch on friday so I can start putting them in the shed in the day time at first, which will give them more room.
I am part insulating the shed as well so that they can hopefully stop out all year, the other two did three winters in the shed with no problems.
